Škoda Doubles Down on Middle East Market: Impressive 2023 Sales and Expansion Plans

Škoda reported a strong year for vehicle deliveries in 2023, with a total of 866,800 units sold globally. This represents an impressive 18.5% increase compared to the previous year. The Octavia retained its crown as the global best-seller, followed by Kamiq and Kodiaq SUVs
While Škoda continued its success in established markets like Germany and the Czech Republic, the Middle East is emerging as a key growth region for the automaker.
The Middle East proved to be a breakout market for Škoda in 2023. Deliveries soared by an impressive 108% compared to 2022, reaching a total of 2,463 units. The Kodiaq and Kushaq were the stars of the show as they topped sales in the Middle East. The Kushaq recorded a whopping 300% increase over its 2022 sales.
The carmaker opened its first showroom outside of Europe featuring the brand's new corporate identity in Kuwait. The showroom is fully digitized and looks to elevate customer experience.
For 2024, Škoda has ambitious plans in the Middle East. The firm aims to solidify its market position by expanding its dealership network and enhancing brand awareness. The Czech brand looks to build European build quality to the Middle East.
