Genesis launches G80, GV70 and GV60 in the Middle East

Genesis has unveiled the Electrified G80, GV70, and GV60 in the Middle East at a luxurious launch event in AlUla, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Korean carmaker has brought the best of its electric lineup to the region as it looks to establish itself as the leading electric luxury carmaker. 

The G80 is the pinnacle of luxury sedans offered by Genesis with a spectacular crest grille that fits in the signature G-Matrix pattern. Opulent Nappa leather is seen on the seats along with an eco-friendly Forged Wood trim. Charging wise, the G80 has a 400V/800V multi-rapid charging system that can be used with various charging infrastructures. The car also has something called V2L which enables customers to use electric power of 3.6kW outside of the vehicle. Noice.

What the G80 is for sedans, the GV70 is for SUVs in the Genesis lineup. It has a super-spacious interior inspired by the ‘Beauty of White Space’ design concept and an attention-grabbing exterior that features Genesis’ signature Crest Grille and a similar G-Matrix pattern as the one found on the G80. The electric GV70 is the first Genesis model to feature the SUV-specific e-Terrain Mode, which ensures a stable driving experience in various environments.  

The stylish GV60 coupe is built on the firm’s Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP) and has a single panel which combines the hood and fenders for a sleek look. A special wing emblem adds to the beauty of the hood with the Guilloché pattern often found in luxury watches. Like the GV70, the GV60’s interior also has elements from the ‘Beauty of White Space’ design concept.

The GV60 has a Fingerprint Authentication System that allows drivers to start and drive the car without a key. Now THAT is quite cool. Something that is even more awesome is the fact that the GV60 has a Drift Mode.
