EV news: GM Middle East set to launch 13 new EVs by 2025

GM celebrated a record breaking 2021 by registering a very impressive 9.4% sales growth in 2021, which includes 26% sales growth in SUVs. As a result GM recorded a net income of $10 billion and EBIT-adjusted of $14.3 billion. Very impressive indeed.
The main stars of the show in 2021 were the Chevrolet Captiva, Chevrolet Tahoe, Cadillac Escalade and GMC Yukon. And it’s not just SUVs, GM also saw a 41% year-on-year growth in sales of pickup trucks thanks to the class-leading GMC Sierra and Chevrolet Silverado.
That was all the corporate news, now let’s get to the juicy EV bit. General Motors has announced that it will launch 13, yes THIRTEEN, all-new EVs in the Middle East by 2025. The GMC Hummer EV, Cadillac LYRIQ and Chevrolet Bolt EUV will spearhead GM’s EV revolution. The future looks… electric!
